SIMON WICKER
Simon is a professional drum teacher and drummer, working for Inspiring Music, the Central Bedfordshire Music Service. He has been involved with many bands during his career including :
Hitsville, the Sound of Motown: a professional 8-piece band paying homage to the Motown greats, Hitched: a fantastic party band for all occasions and Nice’n’Cheezy: an outrageous party band.
Simon is a big fan of Led Zeppelin and a John Bonham fanatic and has been since the age of 16 when he was first introduced to Led Zeppelin by a school friend. It has been his ambition to form a Led Zeppelin tribute band and after many years has finally managed to create one of the best in the UK.
Simon plays a Ludwig Vistalite John Bonham reissue drum kit, a replica of the iconic set-up John Bonham used in the mid-seventies, complete with a set of Paiste 2002 cymbals and a Ludwig 402 Supraphonic snare drum. He also uses a pair of Premier timpani and a Paiste 38” symphonic gong.
